About Excend
Excend Management Consulting launched in summer 2019. We set out to solve our clients' complex & important issues and aim to support each of our clients excel and transcend within their industry.
We partner with and offer management consulting services to small and medium size businesses in the Montreal and Ottawa area. We support our clients in achieving and surpassing their business goals by working collaboratively with them to understand their complex issues and providing personalized solutions that fit within their strategic and operating parameters.
Our vision drove the name of the company. This vision fuels our passion and drive to work closely with our clients and deliver a service with a high degree of excellence.
Meet the Founder
Mike Codina-Lucia has over five years of experience in a breadth of disciplines ranging from financial services to senior financial management roles within organizations. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with a passion for business strategy. Mike got his designation while working in financial statement audit for the Auditor General's office, and subsequently in risk assurance services at a big four accounting firm. His experience in audit, coupled with his ability to think strategically has given him an edge in understanding both the operational characteristics and strategic vision of an organization and tweaking either so that they are congruent and the business can run as effectively as possible.
In addition to being a CPA, Mike is also a member of the Canadian Business Strategy Association and holds his Executive Chartered Business Strategist (ECBS) designation.
When Mike is not working, he likes to take long bike rides and lift weights. He is a beer enthusiast, and makes his own beer and wine. Mike also enjoys social dancing to bachata, salsa and other styles of Latin dance.
